The author did a really good job portraying the message about adoption and that there are many reasons people adopt and make those who are adopted feel loved. He even left a note in the front of the book that said "This book is meant to be read with someone you love. Every family is different, so feel free to change the pronouns in this text to fit your family." I thought that was so cool because now there are so many types of families. There are children who have a mom and a dad, 2 moms, 2 dads, they are raised by a single parent, aunts/uncles, and even grandparents. I thought that it was awesome that he incorporated that message into the beginning of the book because every family is really different. This book is made for a younger audience because there is one short sentence on almost every page. The illustrations are also very kid friendly because it looks like a child actually drew them. The main message of this book is that there are people in the world who need a home, a family, and love. There are people out there who adopt every day because they are looking for someone to join their family. The family is going to love you and live a happy life together. It also shows that it is okay to have a different family from someone else since all families are indeed different. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
