I really loved the first two books in The Wedding Planner's Daughter series, so I was a little worried when I started reading that it wouldn't measure up, but this book absolutely delivered. It was a very quick read - I read through 3 straight hours, then flipped the last page and wished there was a fourth book about Willa. It was sweet, funny, easy to relate to, and just plain lovable. I would recommend this as a must for girls 11-15, although some 15-yr-olds might feel it is a little "young" for their taste. Willa is adorable, and how awesome is this? - she actually cares about her community! Reviewed by Sarah Bean the Green Bean Teen Queen for TeensReadToo.com Willa is looking forward to spending another fun summer on Cape Cod and auditioning for the local production of Our Town. She thinks that she and boyfriend, Joey, are perfect for the lead roles. She's also keeping busy planning weddings at the Bramble Inn, and preparing to become a big sister. But when the beautiful new girl ends up getting the lead in Our Town over Willa, Willa isn't sure what will become of her and Joey! I adore THE WEDDING PLANNER'S DAUGHTER series. Each book is like taking a vacation with Willa to Cape Cod, and they're the perfect summer reads. Willa's story gets better with each book and this one is no different. Willa is such a fun, bubbly person that you can't help but smile when you read about her and want to cheer her on through the tough times. They might look like a light read, but Ms. Paratore tackles some tough issues and handles them delicately, which makes this series more than just a light, fluffy read. Even though they are marketed mostly to the tween set, I've given this series to teens and adults alike who have fallen in love with Willa. At times reminiscent of classics such as ANNE OF GREEN GABLES, fans of old-fashioned stories will enjoy this series. I'll always be eager to read more about Willa and her life on Cape Cod. Title: Willa By Heart Author: Coleen Murtagh Paratore Publisher: Simon&Schuster Number Of Pages: 228 Summary from back of book: Willa and JFK are finally enjoying their status as the most compatible couple at Bramble Academy. But then the new girl, Mariel, moves to town. In fact, the new girl seems to want to compete for everything Willa wants:books, the lead in the community theater production Our Town, and maybe even JFK! To top it off, Willa is planning two inn weddings for the same weekend in June and preparing for a new family member at the same time! Can Willa keep her life, two weddings, and her new relationship from spinning out of control? Review: Willa By Heart is the third book in The Wedding Planner's Daughter series. I find I am a lot like Willa because she is quiet , loves books, loves candy. I thought this book was written very well. My problem with it though is it isn't a very long book. Other than that I thought this book was really good. I recommend this book if you like weddings, candy, and family. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
