I have personally been asked just about every one of these approximately 50 questions. Sometimes out of honest ignorance, other times out of willful ignorance or misinformation. The answers and explanations are presented very factually and objectively, in a manner that should not offend readers less open to diversity and having their misconceptions challenged. I will probably purchase a copy of this book and even give it as gifts in the future.

National Native American Heritage Month would be a perfect time to use this book. I would probably use it as a reference to read answers to students in discussion surrounding other books read during the month. It will sit on my shelf right next to The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Native American History by Walter Fleming. ( )
