Photographer Lacy Maguire is trying to finish, a Christmas-card shoot, when her dog Fabio, in his reindeer-antlers discovers a man outside by the shed. Police Detective Chase Kelly is desperate, he was wounded and forced to jump from a bridge into the nearby lake by the man who intends to frame him for evidence theft and murdering a cop. Chase takes refuge in Lacy’s house – a house filled with twinkling lights, a decorated tree and cats dressed up as Mrs. Claus and elves. A light-hearted romance with a side of mystery, The mystery of why does Zeke Duncan want to frame and kill Chase Kelly? A little predictable but fun none the less. With the above description you would think this would be a good read for all age groups BUT NOT, be advised there are graphic sex scenes. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

The writing was well done as always from Christi Craig. The hero learned to let go of the past and love again and the divorced heroine also learned to take a chance on a new man. The suspense part of the plot held together pretty well although this is mostly a love story so the suspense was rather light but it did mostly make sense.
One of the things I enjoy about CC's romantic suspense is that the stories are not always about another serial killer or terrorist attack. They are written around fairly ordinary crimes which is refreshing. ( )
