A cute story about a snowman who leaves a mark on a family's heart. We were given a copy from some dear friends when we moved 12 years ago, and recently gave one to friends who just moved away. ( )

I may have never heard of Bob before, but I am now glad that I have met him.

A Snowman Named Just Bob was first released in 1999 and released in 2008 in a special 10 year anniversary edition. I opened the pages expecting a snowman story, yet found a touching story about friendship and love. It is good to be reminded once in a while that friendship is a simple thing - humans just tend to complicate it. ( )

Story talks about how Bob came to be and leave and shows the value of friendship. ( )

In this story, a little girl goes out into the snow and builds a snowman named Bob. Bob was speaking to her to create him and when he did he taught her about friendship. He says, "Friendship is a simple thing, The clue is just to start. As long as it is built on trust, And love from in your heart." He also says "that just like all good faithful friends...Bob is always near." Bob came to life for a short amount of time but soon left and told her to put a sign in her yard that said, "Bob was here."

A charming story about Bob, a snowman for all ages. The emotions are true and the story well thought out. This is a great book to read with children and I can’t help to think that this book could be a great resource for parents that have children that have had a loss in their lives. ( )
