Immerse yourself in a sweeping story set against the backdrop of historical and present-day Marian Apparitions. Join unforgettable characters as their lives intertwine during the Great Tribulations. Discover why America's best-loved Catholic novelist has thrilled, inspired, and surprised over one million readers who simply could not put this unforgettable epic down. Must-reading for every Catholic. ( ) I *absolutely* hated this book. I couldn't finish it. I'm giving it a rating of "Poor" because I was probably a hundred pages from finishing it and then I just couldn't take it anymore and said, "That's enough!" It is horrible! Horrible I found it to be judgmental ("authentic Catholics"?) ... The dialogue completely sucked! I have heard that George Lucas can't write dialogue -- he could probably give this guy a pointer or two. I have two other books by this author (bought them all together [stupid, I know]) and I am *not* looking forward to the day I try to read those! It is super heavy in Marian Devotion! I feel I have a devotion to Mary but this book just pushes it over the edge, in my opinion. I can't/couldn't stand the characters ... There wasn't a single one I could relate to or liked. (Father Chet reminded me of Father Roderick of SQPN and I don't like him either.) It was a horrible book! (I couldn't be more disappointed : ( ) Adrianne I absolutely loved this novel on the struggle of humanity against evil, and how truning to Mary can help tremendously. I did not like the derogatory comments about certain types of people; God is love not hatred, irregardles of who you are. I would have given 5 stars if there had been no belittling comments made about certain of our brothers and sisters who don't fall into the mainstream of society. After reading this book, nothing else I have even attempted to read on the Marion theme, has measured up to this standard setting work! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
