Continues the Shadowdwellers storyline with Magnus. Magnus is the leader of Sanctuary and he's dealing with the betrayal of Karri and his new handmaiden Dae. His world that he thought he knew has been rocked and now he has to do things differently than in the past. Anyone can get in a rut after 200 years. Dae is like a breath of fresh wind but has her own past to overcome as a slave. Lots of details about how this world is more open sexually, but also how there has been betrayal there. (

This is an odd series, but I like the world. The first book was a bit meh for me, not entirely sure why. Perhaps because it was an intro to the world with lots of backstory.

It is hard to describe this book other than to say BDSM with a religious spiritual overlay. I enjoyed the psychological study of our two main characters. The book was well written. The action and mystery was well paced.

Keep in mind that this is an erotic book, so if intense sex scenes bother you don't read. However, I feel that they were necessary for the character developments. (

Right on the edge of being erotic. The paranormal is slight except for the couple of jumps into other "scapes" realms, shadowscape, dreamscape, you can imagine reading a normal romance with a subplot with political mystery, treason.

Again I liked it and read right through it. Still I didn't love it or think it to be quite up to her nightwalkers. This is more a romance less paranormal and world building. I thought the couple ended up fitting together well in the end and it was a change from the last couple where the woman was not as assertive. (

One of my favorite series. These stories are intense and keep you on the edge of your seat. (

WOW! I was not sure how I was going to like this book but now that I literally just finished reading it, I have to say it was beyound my expectations. Dae's story is amazing, her transition from slave to Magnus' Handmaiden is very well writen. The story line was great, I never got bored, The sex was HOT, the other story lines were also great. GREAT BOOK!!!!!! (
