This book is full of poems that include rhyming words and alliteration. Each poem has a different animal that it focuses on in order for the students to stay engaged. This could be used in the classroom for different activities and lessons on repetition, alliteration, personification, and many others. For younger readers, the goal of using this book should be for them to be able to identify the rhyming words and the sounds that make each word rhyme. (

This book contains 100 poems that are silly and happy. They have lots of rhyming and allow for other literacy concepts such as personification, repetition, alliteration and etc. This is a great book for emergent and youth readers. It is also a fun way to introduce poetry. (
