After reading this book I learned much more about India modern history than I could imagine. I had no idea how secular India democracy was, and how fragile is it, threathened by unscrupulous politicians. It was amazing to know that the Nehru-Gandhi family has been responsible for the unity of the country, and for the survival of the democracy, even though they did not want to carry that burden and accepted that tragic duty as a karma. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
