A charming romance about the lives and loves of people in a small Tennessee town. In the tradition of Debbie Macomber. "Hey, ya'll. Dixie Ferguson here. I run Ferguson's Diner in Angel Ridge, Tennessee. Population three hundred forty-five. It's a picturesque town in the valley of the Little Tennessee River, established in 1785. In the early days, its first families--the McKays, the Wallaces, the Houstons, the Joneses, and, of course, the Craigs--staked their claims on hundreds of acres of the richest bottom land anyone had ever seen. After all the years I've spent behind the counter at Ferguson's, I could probably tell ya'll a story about near everyone in town. But we only have so much time, so I'll narrow it down to just two for now. This is a story about coming home. It's also a story about acceptin' folks for who they are. You could say it's a story about Josie Allen, a librarian, and Cole Craig, a handyman, but I say it's a story about finding love where you'd least expect to."… (meer)

Very sweet, but unfortunately the writing was clunky and the plot didn’t always make much sense. ( )

My list of favourite authors expanded this week, as I received a review copy of "Only You" by Deborah Grace Staley. This book is the first one in the Angel Ridge Series. What a great story! I don't usually read many books of the romance genre, but what a pleasant surprise to read this book. My biggest regret is that the lovely place where the story takes place is fictional ... it is called Angel Ridge. I would love to visit Angel Ridge, or even better, it would be fantastic to live there.

Angel Ridge sounds like the most perfect place on the planet. You know the "Thomas Kinkade" kind of place? Well that is the image that comes to mind when I think of Angel Ridge. And the residents of Angel Ridge, I would so love to have them as my neighbours too.

The story revolves around a librarian named Josie and a handyman called Cole, and their highly unlikely relationship. Through many events that seem to point their destiny in opposite directions, true love is put to the test. I was sorry when the story ended, as I really wanted to follow their life a little bit more. I am glad it is only book one in the series. I hope there is much more coming about Josie and Cole in the next books. ( )

I REALLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK. THE BOOK IS SET IN ANGEL RIDGE TENNESSEE A SMALL TOWN WHERE EVERYONE KNOW EVERYONE AND THEIR BUSINESS. THE MAIN CHARACTER IS A HOMETOWN GIRL WHO COMES BACK TO BE THE TOWN LIBRARIAN. SHE FALLS FOR THE SUPPOSED TOWN UNEDUCATED TOWN HANDY MAN. IT IS A BOOK ABOUT NOT JUDGING PEOPLE BY WHAT YOU THINK THEY ARE AND FINDING LOVE IN THE PROCESS. I CAN'T WAIT TO VISIT ANGEL RIDGE AGAIN. ( )

This was a sweet story. An accomplished woman comes back to her hometown to run the local library, fulfilling her childhood dream. She's not having a good time with it though; pressure from the powers-that-be to have everything new and running by Memorial Day and a falling apart house are making it difficult to keep perspective. One good thing happens: reuniting with her high-school savior, the boy that made her life happier at a time when she was most miserable. They were never close but they both admired each other from a distance and as the then-boy was from the wrong side of the tracks and a high school dropout, it didn't seem possible to give a possible romance a chance. They were wrong and I can't wait to see what happens in A Home for Christmas. ( )
