In these largely plotless stories, Emily, a Tuesday Addams homage, plays up the three themes of the book, Lost, Dark and Bored. Emily tries to cure her boredom, gets Lost in Innerspace and revels in her dark lifestyle. Personally I find Emily more appealing on a T-shirt or sticker than in these inane episodes, but maybe I am simply too old for Emily the Strange. I really don't get it. A series of three comics about Emily the Strange and her many black cats. It is filled with lots of short tales filled with her usual attitude centering around being lost, in the dark and bored essentially! There are "interviews" with The Damned, Elvira Mistress of the Dark and Marilyn Manson. There are some fun fake advert pages too. Silly fun if you are in need of cheering up, or should that be glooming down. ( )
