Empires of the Indus door Alice Albinia

The book is very readable. However, it was spoiled by the author devoting a whole chapter on following Alexander's footsteps. It just shows her admiring views of Alexander, who was no better than Genghis Khan or Attila the Hun. She also did not write much about the Vedas or the Tribal people where the Indus starts. Overall, it is a well-written book.

Leela's Book

I didn't really enjoy this book. I just couldn't feel for its characters and mixed them up. I also struggled with the mythical Indian gods and avatars as fantasy is not my thing. I did learn about Indian culture and received a good insight into the history of the closeness in Indian families something I admire very much,
