3.5 rounded up. I already liked these characters before this series, but it has added to my appreciation for them. There was a long-ish part near the end that became tedious, but I mostly enjoyed this telling. I really liked how Persephone came into her own, and Hades was super endearing.
You know that way you feel when "Careless Whisper" by Wham! comes on? That feeling of fleeting love, unbound passion, and electric energy? That's the way this book makes me feel. I couldn't put it down, and after two days of tireless reading, my eyes are so dry I'm almost out of rewetting drops. You will cry, you will rejoice, and you will long for your next date night. A spectacular work in its own right, the sequel to "Receiver of Many" is a truly incredible story of Hades and Persephone's undying love you would be beyond fortunate to read. I'm drooling waiting for its sequel!… (meer)
