This book shows the process of getting dressed to go out and play in the rain through simple pictures and one-word descriptions of each picture. The androgynous character is shown putting on his/her clothes, going outside and playing with worms and sailboats ("sail") and coming back in to enjoy soup and a nap. I like this book for its simplicity, it is colorful without being garish and the one-word per page format makes it easy for little kids to sound out workds and see what they mean in one glance. It also has a unique perspective, for example, a picture of the child holding a pot of worms under the umbrella is accompanied by the word "save". A good, quick, rainy-day book.… (meer)
