Jameson Anderson

This biography was written about the great Lebron James. The book starts out with Lebron's start in his basketball career including a page with his stats and awards won in his many years. I enjoyed this book because it then takes the reader on a journey of who Lebron really was. It shows his humble beginnings and his many struggles as a child. His mother was struggling to pay bills and Lebron was falling behind in school. It wasn't until Coach Kelker decided to take Lebron and his mother in and train Lebron for football. From there Lebron has many role models who helped him through school, and trained him in basketball. Lebron could have gone to college, but chose NBA instead and even has some Olympic medals to go along with his many awards in the NBA. The book was very informative and I would suggest the students be at an age where they can handle all these facts about basketball.… (meer)

Summary: I could use this book to teach about the Olympics or about Gymnastics itself. I could also use this book as a lesson on doing anything you set your mind to, it may just take a bit of training. This book covers everything about Gabby Douglas from difficult starts to the Olympic fame. This was a good biography book because it covered all aspects of Gabby's life. It is also a great example of an informational book because all of the parts of the book are real.… (meer)
