The designs are absolutely gorgeous. But the book is not for beginners as the description claims. I'm pretty sure NASA templates aren't as busy as the patterns in this book. And for some reason the font used in the patterns is SUPER TINY. If I had to guess, I'd say the sizes used are 8 and 6, if not smaller, requiring significant strain just to read them.

The designs are gorgeous, but definitely not for novices (as the description claims) unless you have a ton of patience to figure it all out. The organization with separate sections for the finished pictures, general instructions, and specific instructions (which are rather sparse) felt odd as well.

Designs in the book are sweet and not overly complicated. Stitch instructions as well as suggested thread colors are included. Designs would work well in a variety of projects and include simpler and more complicated designs.
I would recommend this book to anyone seeking food/kitchen/garden themed craft designs.

If you like to embroider this is a good book for you. Gives detailed instructions for 37 garden flowers. Some of the flowers included in this book are: pansy, lavender, rose, sweet woodruff, zinnia, digitalis, and nicotiana. Nicely illustrated. Would also make a good gift for someone who likes to embroider.
