I discovered after I survived this book and got into doing graduate level political economy theory readings that I actually really enjoy political economy as a topic, but this book was a bit annoying. By the end of it I still couldn't really define political economy as a subject, because the book was so vague about defining it, and since this subject is an amalgamation of several subjects, the whole book came across as jumbled and unconvincing. In addition I really disagreed with this book's treatment of global warming. It did not fit with what I know already from my ecology degree and past reading and coursework on the subject.… (meer)
