I'm giving this a 3.25. I liked it overall, but it seemed like it had some flow problems that a little bit more editing could've smoothed out and polished up.

James is the grandson to the Queen. She has just ascended the throne after her mother died, but at her advanced age, she doesn't want to stay on the throne. She's announced that whichever of her grandchildren has an heir first will become the sovereign. James is bound and determined that it will be him. But first, he has to figure out who to get pregnant. Then he remembers his ex Reid, who has a daughter by his dead husband.

Reid dated James in college. James was still a little full of himself over being a prince and hadn't quite figured out how to act like a real person. But now, years later, Reid has something that James needs. Reid is proven to be fertile, and James is hoping he can help. James makes a deal with Reid, if he'll get pregnant, James will make sure that Reid and his daughter are taken care of.

Of course, it would be a short book if that's all there was to it. There are a lot of interesting things that happen, including evil cousins, pushy press, and a lovely Queen. This really is a feel good book with an interesting premise, and very few real taboos.… (meer)

This is a first time gay book in the Omegaverse. The interesting twist on this one is that it's usually the Omegas who are the experienced gay person in the relationship and the Alpha is the new one, but in this book, the reverse holds true. And the words Alpha and Omega don't really show up in the book, so it may not truly be an Omegaverse, but it is definitely a mpreg book.

Justin had a very bad war. He saw people that he cared deeply for die and lived through so many terrible things. Now that he's home, he just doesn't care anymore. He works as a kneebreaker and repo man, and he hates it, but he's good at it so he just does it. One night, a blizzard is about to hit, and he goes to the grocery store to buy some beer. However, there is a beautiful young man there who had his hands on the last case of his favorite beer. Justin let the guy have it and left, only to see the young man trying to walk through the cold and the beginnings of the blizzard. Justin decided that he'd pick him up and take him home. Then he will go home and kill himself.

Tyler is a lovely geekboy. He works at a game store, DMs games, and then goes home to his little apartment that is covered in all kinds of toys, games, and geek paraphernalia, including Star Wars sheets. He's always thought that he was straight, until he ran into a huge and gorgeous man at the grocery store who ended up taking him home from the grocery store when the weather turned horrible. Tyler knew that he would never see Justin again, right until Justin rushes into the game store where Tyler works and punches out one of the guys playing a game in the back.

I love Tyler and Justin together. There is a lot that goes on in this book, and some of it is truly heart-breaking. Justin does have serious PTSD and really just doesn't give a flying fig about anything. Tyler gets Justin to start taking care of himself and to do what he needs to do in order to get better.

One of the things that I love about this book is that it doesn't make Justin getting better seem like it happens overnight. You get the sense of time and you see some of the information about how much work it takes to get better. Justin has to train himself out of old habits and into new ones, which can be really hard to do. They truly are a beautiful couple together.… (meer)
