Edith Battles

Jeffrey has a teeter-totter in his new backyard, but no one to sit on the other end, so he improvises with a rock, pail of sand, stool, his dog, among other items, until he meets a new friend with whom he can share the teeter-totter. I like this book because of Jeffrey's problem-solving attempts. This would be an appropriate book for grades PreK-1 to expose them to problem-solving, but also the difference a new friend can make.
