After struggling with web development software that took more than 15 minutes to learn, I turned to Joomla! to develop my rather simple website (www.danktarn.com). This book was of some help, though I found myself skimming through its painfully step-by-step instructions of how to complete processes that are very intuitive when you are in the Joomla! Administrator mode. On the other hand, the author's introduction to Joomla! and his explanations of the difference between modules, components, templates, extensions, plug-ins, etc. were helpful. The book also contains some good sources to look to for further information.

While my website is still a work in progress, I'm sold on Joomla!'s ease of use and flexibility.… (meer)
