First time author South African, Nic Bennett, may have presented a new topic for teens. Financial conspiracy--! Not toooo many teen books deal with stock trading. Jonah accompanies his father to work at a prestigous London investing institution, Helsby, Cattermole & Partners(known as HellCat), on " bring your child to work day". Jonah does not have a relationship with his dad, who seems less than interested in his role as father- &even less interested in bringing him to work. Once there Jonah is scoooped up by a flambouyant trader known as the Baron. Jonah is blown away with the environment - the Baron allows him to participate by doing computer imput. Jonah is hooked & soon is recruited by the Baron & groomed to eventually work with his team. Sounds dull-- anything but. The Baron is involved in a bigger organization bent on taking the world financial sectors down. Non stop action takes as Jonah' eyes are opened to the Baron's plan.
