What got me on this one was the dialogue (which comes across as a bit forced/awkward) and the rapid progression (almost out of nowhere) of the relationship. Riley, as the Man of Honor in his best friend's wedding, is sent to visit the bride's cousin to solicit his help with some designs for the ceremony and to try to convince him to come. It's obvious when he arrives, though, that there's also a bit of a set up at play and he can't help but think that her cousin is very attractive. But Riley senses a hesitation and isn't prepared for the reasons behind it.

I liked the characters. I felt like they were individually dynamic and I honestly wanted to see them get together. It's just that the circumstances and the way they talked to each other made it all come across a bit awkward in the end.

This could not have been a more delightful, short, angsty, romantic M/M Read! I put it right on my favorites shelf and can't wait to let it sit awhile and read it again. Enjoy!

I Feel You is a multicultural romance, and while reading it I had the feeling to go back to some ’90 romance a-la-E. Lynn Harris type. The Afro-american character is able to make you feel uber-sexy, even if you are not cover-model material, but at the same time he is also like a unconquerable fortress from an emotional point of view.

Ron sees himself as a plain-jane type, but it’s more lack of self-esteem than anything else; sure he is a little overweight, but nothing that has him really out of the dating pool, so that he is actually living with a roommate who would be more than willing to move their relationship to a more personal level.

Travis is a blue collar working man whose mother left him with a substantial inheritance; he could live out of it, but he decided to continue with his menial job while living in a gated community and driving an hot car. When he meets Ron, the main reason why he is attracted to the man is that Ron seems “warm” and “comfortable”, and Travis needs those feelings in that moment.

Sincerely at first I don’t think there is really love between them, but it’s more a giving each other what they need. Ron wants, better needs, an hot boyfriend to prove to his friends that he can have him. Travis wants an uncomplicated relationship, and I think he has the feeling Ron will be too grateful for his catch to create trouble.

Even if they start more like buddy-friends than lovers, love arrives between them and with it they need to reconsider where they stand. As many are telling him, Ron is not unprepared, and he is able to manage this relationship and direct it exactly where he wants. In this he will prove that, indeed, he is clever than Travis, but I like that, in a way or the other, both of them where always open and clear on their feelings and on what they wanted. Ron has bite in him and he will able to use it to catch his man when it will be needed.
