This book would show children that it is okay to go off on their own when they get older to start their own life just as Tiger did. They will have to be brave and endure the dangers that come with it but it will work out for the better in the end. I really liked the illustrations.

A lot of picture books try to present a story and facts about the natural world all at the same time, but this book does it better than most. I particularly like the way Blackford includes a factual preface about tigers (as opposed to a note at the end) and Stojic's lovely illustrations.
