This book is about leprechauns and their little pranks they play on St. Patrick's Day. I love that the illustrations have surprises in them, but the main reason I would include it in my classroom is that it explains Irish terms used. Overall, this book could be read to grades 1st-3rd on St. Patrick's Day.

Be prepared to use an Irish accent when reading this aloud! This is a very clever piggyback on "The Night Before Christmas".

Story told with Gaelic words thrown in, goblins trap a wise woman so she will heal their friend. Then the wise woman's children trick the goblins to get their mother back.
