Angela N. Blount is a Minnesota native, transplanted to the deep South--where she currently resides with her husband, their two children, and a set of identity-confused cats. She is a freelance content editor, former book reviewer for RT Magazine, a Memoirist, sporadic poet, and webcomic artist.

Angela is a PRO member of the Romance Writers of America, and was named a finalist in the 2012 Sheila, Laurie, and Orange Rose contests. She also took first place in the 2013 OKRWA Finally A Bride contest. In 2013 she was named a double finalist for the Linda Howard Award of Excellence.

In her spare time, Angela enjoys reading, coffee shop loitering, questionable attempts at horticulture, and all things geeky.

This memoir about Angeli and her long distance Southern boyfriend Vincent is an amazing read. I wasn't sure about how much sense it would make to me, considering that this is a side novel to the original Once Upon a Road Trip (that I hadn't read). Surprisingly, this novel was easy to follow and I didn't need to read the first book (but I would really like to now!).

Kooky best friends, sneaking out to stay together and relationship woes are all featured in this book, and portray what a real relationship looks like: not perfection. This memoir made me fall in love with this love story, and felt very real and not fake (like some fiction novels make love and relationships out to be).

I would love to hear more about Anjeli and Vincent! The story telling is wonderful and doesn't make you question what's going on. It seemed very real and not forced. It was a believable story.

If anything, the author could have included more "action", or situations the characters went through. I felt cheated for more interaction between Vincent, Anjeli and her family and friends. The story seemed a bit to short for me, but still great (since this isn't the main novel about Vincent and Anjeli, and more of a set of side stories).

I did like this novel! But I wanted a bit more out of it. Overall, it was a good read I would recommend to others!

Four out of five stars!

I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads.

Also I loved that my copy was signed! I love signed copies!

I really enjoyed this memoir, but I wouldn't recommend it to all because I feel like it appealed to me in a niche way.

I related a lot to Angie, who goes on a roadtrip across the United States and stays with a lot of people she'd met through online written roleplaying. When I was in middle/early high school, I roleplayed a ton too, and I also travelled right after graduating from high school with a lot of college credits. However, if not for these similar qualities, I'm not sure I would have enjoyed the book as I did.

This could have been cut quite a bit--there are a lot of details, and while it's hard to pinpoint any that are particularly boring, the book started feeling tedious and repetitive midway through. I found myself glossing over several parts. I also wanted more general details though, more talk about what the driving itself was like instead of examination of the people she was meeting. I wanted to be able to get a feel for what such a trip might feel like for me, but it was very specific to her.

I feel like the major part of the book was the incident that happened on her way back home, and I wish this had had more space in the book, that we could have seen the aftermath, because I think this was the part that could have had a powerful message.

Though the voice occasionally came off as being rather preachy, I enjoyed the tone overall. There were some interesting moments about spirituality that just missed being too overbearing. I enjoyed seeing Angie's mood swings and how she dealt with her highs and her lows.

I don't recommend this book if you're looking for the feeling of a US roadtrip; however, if the description of Angie appeals to you, then you'll probably enjoy this book.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

With winning a free version of Once Upon an Ever After by Angela N. Blount from a Goodreads contest, the story took me on an adventure of two young loves whom wanted to be together. It was an easy read with a story that made it feel as though you already know the main characters. There however were scenes towards the end of the book where it seemed a little rushed and jumped a bit where more details could have been added.

Once Upon an Ever After by Angela N. Blount

The follow up to Angela N. Blount's memoir Once Upon a Road Trip. Angeli is excited to have her much anticipated reunion with Vincent, young man she met the previous summer on her road trip.

Angeli being in Minnesota and Vincent in Alabama it makes for a difficult long distance romance. This is Vincent's first time in Minnesota and his chance to meet her friends and family.

Both lead different lives and come from completely different families. Angeli wonders how her family will get along wit him. Will they like him as much as she does? Will her friends like him? And finally will they all get along?

I really enjoyed this story. I love the differences in each family, how their friends react, and how Angeli and Vincent feel about each other. I got to see how they handled a long distance romance and how their relationship develops. The best part is the book is a memoir and we all get to see Angeli's Ever after! I highly recommend to all
