The print quality is poor and, if this is the best reproduction of an original map that was poor in quality, the modern-day publisher should say so. For example, the detailed for Liverpool seems smudged. Not something that you read, per se, but a fascinating reference work that shows how one could travel by rail in Continental Europe (and parts of Asia, such as Palestine and Egypt). There are also sections describing the hotels and sights of certain areas. One has to say that the tables take quite a bit of getting used to in reading; things were very complicated in those days! For railroad buffs. (Note: this is a reprint of the 1913 edition.)
