Usability for the Web presents a beginning-to-end process for web design with an emphasis on pervasive usability, making sites that smoothly serve the needs of the end users by maintaining a focus on user experience throughout the design process. Our systematic process guides designers through setting site goals, getting to know the target audience, creating the content and structure of the site and the flow of interaction, laying out the visual elements, and bringing it all together with fine-tuned production and testing of all the final site elements. We provide examples and suggestions for successful, usable design at every step and in every site element.
