This book provides advice on growing the standard:
Raspberries
Blackberries
Hybrids like: Loganberries & Tayberry
Blackcurrents - book shows a very clear visual guide to which shoots to cut.
Gooseberries
Blueberries
Cranberries
Red/White currants
Strawberries
and also:
Cape gooseberries
Melons
Grapes
Kiwi fruit (aka Chinese gooseberry)
Notable absences are:
Rhubarb - which is not mentioned at all in this book. whether or not this is because the author recognises that it is technically not a fruit but rather a vegetable is not clear, but may be the case. Still odd not to mention it at all since it is so valuable an early *fruit crop in this country.
[For an excellent guide to growing Rhubarb see Roy Genders' book 'Growing Soft Fruit'. Link in members recommendations above]… (meer)
