Nori Bunasawa

A very interesting read for people interested in jūdō (specifically what later became Brazilian jiu jitsu) and budō in general, how it was sparking interest in the Western world before WWII and what it was like for a Japanese person to live abroad at the time. The authors did a great job in researching details from Maeda's life as well as various tidbits of historical context. One can quite easily tell what is speculation and what is fact even if it's not said explicitly. The story is really fun to read even though some of the dialogues don't sound convincing enough. The book would also benefit greatly from professional editing (lots of unfinished/non-grammatical sentences, frequent misspellings etc.) and formatting of the Kindle e-book,… (meer)
