A simplified version of Romeo and Juliet, this book is a great way to get younger kids into Shakespeare! It is told in rhyming couplets, and can be acted out as a play, or simply read. Best for children age 7-10
A fun version for elementary kids makes it easy to follow the characters. This version brought the story to life for my son. He laughed and was eager to hear more as we read it aloud together. Actually, I enjoyed the simplicity of the story instead of being bogged down with deciphering the words to my child. He was able to grasp the point without losing the poetry of shakespeare. True, its not word for word, but the rhyming and poetic beat helped him get a great feeling for the beauty of Shakespeare.… (meer)
This is a great way to introduce the story of Macbeth to 8-11 year-olds, and really brings the tale alive.
