Lou Buttino

Lou Buttino is Professor of Communication Studies at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is the author of three books, scores of articles and feature stories, and more than twenty documentaries. He has received numerous academic fellowships and awards, including the award for toon meer distinguished scholarship from both St. John Fisher College and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Dr. Buttino has earned state, national, and international honors for his documentary work and he has appeared in the ESPN documentary special "Fighting the Mob: The Story of Carmen Basilio."
