A fun levelled-reader biography, targetted to younger readers. It's got a cool factor to it, has lots of informational callouts, it addresses the injustices experienced with a light touch, but is matter-of-fact. This is a great easy read for young readers. This book is a very simple informational text and it gives a detailed look into misty Copelands life. I would use this book with my students to show them the importance of informational texts and introduce them to knew influential people who they have maybe never heard of such as misty Copeland. This would be an easy way to introduce them to informational texts ands make them fun and enjoyable.
