Refocusing My Family by Amber Cantorna is a hard read, because no one should have to go through what she went through. But it's also a healing read because it reminds you that you are not alone.
I'm the same age she was when she came out to her parents in 2012. When I officially came out myself, it was in October 2012. But I was 20. Her story is not the same as my story, but elements of it could have been. And I'm glad to have read Refocusing My Family, because I need to be reminded that it is okay to be myself.… (meer)
