Written in 1969, and mostly composed of charts that are only relevant if you're currently older than 49, this book is wildly out of date. However, if you already know your sun sign and planetary positions, the information is still useful. Celeste does a decent job of tying in Biblical teachings with the "science" of astrology, making it "okay" for religious types to embrace the practice. My mother still believes that horoscopes are 'of the devil' so apparently, she never read this book.
One other small criticism I have of this book is that when describing the characteristics of the sun signs Celeste attributes each to the imaginary "he." While it is true that both males and females are born in each sun sign, no females are represented at all, in fact she describes what kind of father and provider each sign is, but never mother or wife. I would imagine that the audience of this book might be a more feminine one than masculine, and at least a balanced approach would be welcome. However, I am aware of the era this book was written in, and that there was probably a (male) editor involved with the process.
This book is no more informative than any other on the topic and did not reveal much I didn't already know, except for the attempts to bring Christianity into the mix (mostly done with some Bible verses at the beginning of each sun sign description). I recommend The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need for a more up-to-date and in-depth treatment of this topic.
