Roland Challis

Roland Challis has spent his entire career, at home and abroad, in journalism and broadcasting, specialising in current affairs with a heavy emphasis on international issues. He was the South-East Asia correspondent for the BBC from 1964-69 and covered the turbulent events of that area from his toon meer base in Singapore. Returning home to England he coproduced the Radio 4 'Analysis' series and later became head of Central Current Affairs His final post was as the head of the BBC's Monitoring Service. He is now retired and lives near Salisbury, Wiltshire toon minder
