EL MISTERIO DE COMPOSTELA

INTRODUCCIÓN

Cuando los musulmanes tomaron Alejandría, el Omar que
los mandaba hizo quemar la famosa biblioteca declarando:
"Todo lo que haya de verdad ahí dentro se encuentra en El
Corán y puede, por tanto, ser destruido; y todo lo que no se
halla en él es falso y debe, pues, desaparecer."

Conviene también señalar que, en su época, Atanasio, a
quien se considera santo, había destruido ya una parte de esta
biblioteca que no juzgaba de acuerdo con su cristianis
Todo ello parte del principio bíblico admitido en el cristianismo:

«Aquel que no está conmigo está contra mí.... Y lo
cierto es que todos nosotros vivimos dentro de este estado de
ánimo, pues dicho principio ha desbordado el plano religioso
para introducirse en la vida corriente y en la vida política.
Partiendo de aquí, si usted no está «pro», es considerado
como «anti», aunque sea usted perfectamente indiferente. Y se
llega a tal grado de estupidez que la gente se golpea en el
rostro, en nombre de la no violencia, si es preciso...

Este estado de ánimo se ha extendido asimismo a las ciencias,
y principalmente a la llamada «histórica», de ahi la sistemática
alteración de todo aquello que, en el pasado, no se
ajusta a la revelación, sea ésta religiosa o laica.

Esto no facilita el conocimiento.

Ho preso questo libro preparato ad affrontare un excursus sul vino e sulla sua presenza nella storia, nelle leggende e nelle mitologie.
E il libro parte anche in maniera interessante, dipingendo la figura di Noé (colui che secondo la bibbia avrebbe "inventato" il vino) e ipotizzando un legame di questi con Atlantide.

Quando però si comincia a capire che l'autore non riporta solo storie, ma crede davvero in tutto ciò e si inizia a notare il tono misticheggiante che pervade il saggio, le braccia cascano per terra più di una volta.

In ordine sparso Louis Charpentier:
- Spara boiate oggettive (es.:pag. 123 "Maturare troppo presto o troppo tardi è nefasto per l'uva", minchiata galattica tant'è vero che esistono vini fatti con uve vendemmiate tardivamente o precocemente a seconda del vino che si vuole ottenere. Comunque di errori del genere ce ne sono veramente una marea.)
- Spara dati a casaccio senza riportare alcuna fonte (es.:pag. 179 "Eppure, si sa che la regione di Porto non arriva a produrre un ventesimo dei vini che sono venduto nel mondo con questo appellativo", chi cosa come quando?)
- Cita spezzoni di altri libri senza di nuovo riportare alcuna fonte (a volte ce la mette, a volte no, a seconda di come gli gira)
- Tratta alcuni argomenti con una superficialità imbarazzante (es.: mi sta bene la metafora muffa=diavolo, ma almeno dillo che esistono vini botritizzati ottenuti da uve ammuffite, stai scrivendo un saggio sul vino perdio!)
- Praticamente non conclude l'opera, con un ultimo capitolo sul Santo Graal nel quale riesce addirittura a non parlare di vino.

E' comunque rarissimo che io riesca a finire un libro che non mi piace, il merito va alle boiate già citate sopra: a ogni pagina mi chiedevo "Ma quale cazzata sparerà adesso?" E immancabilmente quando la cazzata arrivava "WTF??? Ma che sta a dì!"

Un libro da evitare, gratis per qualche risata se lo trovate in pdf ok, ma per 19 euro è una vera truffa.… (meer)

Gothic architecture appeared quite suddenly, "without preamble," Charpentier writes, as he begins to unfold his theory of the mystical origins of the famous Chartres Cathedral in France.

Mysteries from the old religion mix with mysteries from the new. The cathedral is built on an ancient, pre-Christian sacred site. Each year on the summer solstice, the sun illuminates a certain flagstone in the transept. In the center of its stone floor is a labyrinth. In a grotto, beneath the church, by an ancient well, is found the Black Virgin, the statue of a woman with a child seated on her knee, that was purportedly sculpted by Druids before Jesus's birth.

No one has yet solved the mystery of how the colors of the stained glass windows were accomplished or their particular unique luminosity. "They are a product of high science," claims Charpentier, "a product of alchemy."

Charpentier proposes that the Knights Templar may have transported the Ark of the Covenant to a hiding place in Chartres Cathedral. He even suggests the possibility that a copy was made and hidden in Egypt.
When other, larger cities ran short of funds to complete their great cathedrals (there were eighty such Gothic structures under construction simultaneously, twenty of them in France), Chartres moved forward. Again, Charpentier points to the Knights Templar. They were the ones, he posits, who financed its completion.

To gain most benefit from Charpentier's theories and insights, having a friendly interest in mathematics is essential. How else can you get through many of his revelations?

'The "Cubit of Chartres" is 0.738 meters. All measurements are made
of it and even the thickness of the octagonal pillars. . . . [0.738 is] the
hundred thousandth part of the degree of the parallel of latitude of
Chartres.'

The cathedral's builders were not merely architects or master masons, according to Charpentier. Of necessity, they would have had an incredible store of scientific and mathematical knowledge. Ancient underground caverns, the great pyramids of Egypt, the Temple of Solomon, the Holy Grail, the Philosopher's Stone—they all figure in the mystery of Chartres Cathedral, writes Charpentier.
