A young girl's parents have divorced, and she now travels between homes to spend time with each parent separately. The homes differ, but she has space in each one and a sense of belonging. The book gives hope for children who may need to accept a change in parent's marital status.

Summary:
A girl talks about the differences in the houses of her mother and father. She shows and describes the activities that her mother and father do with her. From neat to more messy and from having her own clothes chest to sharing one. She also talks about how one day she will have one of her own and includes and combines both of the things her mother and father houses have.

Personal Reaction:
It is really sweet how the girl explains and describes the houses of her mother and father. I love how she has a bond with both of them and has her own space all for her. It is great to see a story about how each parent reminds her to do what each parent requires of the other. Its great to see that its a happy split.

Classroom Extensions:
1) It could be used for family day where each student can talk about their families and maybe some students can relate to the book.
2) Students can predict what each house will be like before actually reading the book out loud.
