Christmas Wish
Family
A very enjoyable, mostly light-weight Christmas film. The overall plot is predictable, and the ending a tad contrived... but the acting is excellent, and the three children - Miles, Mel and Lilee - are excellent. There's a bit of humour here and there amidst quite a poignant, stressful start to a film about a newly destitute mother attempting to look after her two daughters and stepson.
We liked it very much, and look forward to seeing it again in a few years' time during the Christmas season.

Walking Thunder
John Denver, James Read, Chief Ted Think Elk and David Tom star in this family outdoor adventure tale of the American west. When Jacob's family gets caught in a terrible blizzard, their covered wagon provides little shelter. To make matters worse, the wild west of 1850 is filled with danger! Cutthroat fur trappers steal their horses and then plot to ambush the helpless pioneer family. Jacob meets a friend in the wilderness - a kindly mountain man who offers his help to the pioneers.
