Beautifully written book describing Gobekli Tepe and the author's journey to discover why it was built. Even if you don't agree with the author's hypothesis, there is still a lot of interesting information in this book.

This book links up fairly well with the ideas described in Andrew Collins' other books [bc:From the Ashes of Angels: The Forbidden Legacy of a Fallen Race|477311|From the Ashes of Angels The Forbidden Legacy of a Fallen Race|Andrew Collins|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1365327724s/477311.jpg|465547], and [bc:The Cygnus Mystery: Unlocking the Ancient Secret of Life's Origins in the Cosmos|823819|The Cygnus Mystery Unlocking the Ancient Secret of Life's Origins in the Cosmos|Andrew Collins|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1328849886s/823819.jpg|809609].

The thing about books like this (and Erich von Däniken, et al -- narrated, of course, by Vincent Price) is their travelog side. This book does not disappoint. Plus at the end (or the second half) is a wildly speculative essay on how Neanderthals may have been responsible!! If you're looking for science, this is not the place to search. Still, it's pretty fun, especially the search for 'The Garden of Eden.'

If you have never ventured into non-public education views on ancient history, this should not be your first. For that maybe start with Graham Hancock's Fingerprints of the Gods or Magicians of the Gods (this is a sequel to Fingerprints). If, however you are already aware of Buval's OCT and or other questions raised by Hancock, West, Wilson, and Schoch, to name but a few, then you will find Collins' latest work of great interest.

The theories are fresh and intriguing, Collins with the help of others has done research and tested ideas to create a plausible concept of knowledge diffusion in prehistoric cultures. Make sure that you brush up on your math, astronomy and geography first!… (meer)
