I am new to reiki and chakras and such. I had a bit of trouble understanding what to do or expect. The attunement directions were slim. "Just relax and ask for attunement." But I did feel a slight pressure in my head when I did the chakra meditations. And I think I may have opened up my ability to empathize. I took a family member to the doctor's. In the same building is a pain clinic and dialysis clinic. After about a half hour in the waiting room, I got a severe headache and very nauseous. When I was leaving, a woman was being taken out on a stretcher. Her daughter said that her blood pressure dropped to dangerous levels during the dialysis treatment. I'm going to continue with the attunements and read a few other books to learn more. Hopefully I learn to understand this and it helps bring peace and clarity into my life.… (meer)

The Synopsis for “The Earth Gate” sounded intriguing, however while reading the book it was very hard to follow and confusing. There was several times I almost put this book down but I really wanted to give it a fair chance.
The premise of the story itself was interesting; however, there seemed to be too much repetition, too much going back and forth between dimensions. There was no explanation for why sometimes the characters would teleport to destinations and other times they were traveling via a spaceship. The story also tried tying in several alien controversy and lost civilization stories. The writing was pretty choppy and the characters were pretty basic. I think the main problem is the story tried putting in too much instead of sticking to the main theme.
With all that said, I don’t think this is a horrible book, however it was not really very well put together in my opinion. The writing and flow of the story could have been better and the characters more developed.… (meer)
