The writing was good and the story line flowed well. I just couldn't get past all the stupid miscommunications between Elle & Oliver! She was TSTL most of the time. I was skimming by the end of the book. She was engaged & lived with a controlling man who never would set a date. She hates her Mom setting her up on dates but goes instead of saying "hell no"! What a testament to how little patience I have with people who won't just say what's on their mind like a grown up should. I would have to say the characters just seemed incredibly immature. I didn't think they would ever get together and it took so long that I finally gave up caring.… (meer)

this book was SO good. it was very much in the genre of mafia love, drama.

the plot had me on the edge of my seat, not wanting to put the book down the entire time. her feelings towards him were very relatable in certain ways. there were alot of moments i was able to plan out predict what was going to happen, which i love, and hate. but, there were also moments with plot twists that just threw me for a loop, which i sometimes love in a book because it leaves me wanting more.

the ending was very much a "happy ever after" ... but with ther backgrounds in life, i feel like there HAS to be MORE.… (meer)
