1939 Aberdeen. Two separate road accidents resulting in the death of young boy William Campbell, plus a fire and the outbreak of WW2 makes for a busy time for the normal Inspector Alec Cattanach. Compounded by the disappearance of a female.
A entertaining and well-written historical mystery with its very likeable main character. I look forward to reading the next in the series. A good start to this new series from an author that has produced other enjoyable series.

Ketril and his buddy are at it again. Rivalries, death of a woman and it's mighty close to home. Again, this is an excellent book. A historical mystery set in the time of the Vikings, it has lots of action, wonderful characters and a plot that will keep you engaged and wanting more. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I highly recommend it.

This is a one-of-a kind book. I have never read a historical mystery set in the time of the Vikings. The plot was orginal. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat wanting to keep reading to see what would happen next. The characters were unique and engaging. I found their personalities something that kept me into the story. this was a fantastic story and I loved it. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series. Highly recommend.

1802 and St. Andrews University, and the first of the murders occurs. But who from the seemingly long list is the real culprit. Charles Murray, a student, decides if the constable is not going to find the killer then he must while dealing with problems of his own.
I like the characters in this book, the mystery and the writing style. It makes it more interesting for me to read a book set in a place I know so well. Hoping the next in the series is as enjoyable.
