A fairly ground level view of the Flying Tigers and the air war in China. Provides a look into Chenault, without whom there is no AVG and provides a platform for a number of the fliers to expound on their experiences. Book moves naturally and is entertaining. There is a very scathing account of the behavior of a captured officer. The candor displayed by the POW for this individual was interesting, and somewhat unusual. A good read.
