Nice interweaving of personal stories of lobster related people in Maine and some lobster research. Biased, but openly so,portraying the government scientists as blinkered , but at least including some “rebel” scientists with respect

Weaving stories of a class of students at the California Sushi Academy, the history of sushi, and a teacher named Zoran, it's really an artful book. It is mostly told through the eyes of Kate, an "every day" American, determined to become sushi chef. At times funny and almost always giving you a fascinating history and biological lesson.

It re-inspired me to head back to sushi restaurants and eat sushi correctly.

Book is a bit long but sliced into nice bite-sized chapters.

A bit of a slog through an interesting topic. Skip the whole chapter on parasites if you have a weak stomach - I had to.
