This book is about a girl with autism whose birthday plans get messed up. It's good for kids in kindergarten through 4th grade. It teaches that it's okay if things don't go as planned and shows how to be flexible.
A young girl with autism is having a birthday party that gets "ruined" by a rainstorm, then with a cake mishap. She has trouble dealing with changes in routine and this book provides guidance for any young children dealing with the same.

This book is about a girl and how her birthday was totally ruined by event that happened during the day but her and her mom found ways to make be flexible with things that would get thrown at you. By the end of the book even though nothing went the way she thought, her birthday party was still successful.
I would use this book in my classroom to show students that even though things dont go as planned, they can still happen just not how you originally wanted it to. Because in life and inside the classroom everything isnt going to go as planned and you must be flexible.… (meer)

This book is great for young readers, I would say around second grade. This book it about a girl and during her party things do not go as planned and she has to learn how to cope and deal with some things going astray. I would use this in a classroom to show that it is okay when things happen differently than expected and that not everything is going to be perfect but that does not mean things are ruined.
