The ACW still appears to be going but this is more by way of an historical account of world with neighbourhood community workers, collective advice centres and theories of being in and against the state. I can remember those days when being non-hierarchical, democratic, anti-discriminatory was the the main thing. But the collectives with out formal checks and balances often turned into unelected tyrannies. And anti-discriminatory practice became we are the victims of white male oppression.
