11-year-old Jimmy Coates is seemingly an ordinary boy living in a country run by a controlling Prime Minister ruling by ‘neo-democracy’. One day strange men that his parents recognise turn up at his house wanting to take him away. When Jimmy’s mother tells him to run he takes off and the quest to uncover who he is and save his family is on. Aided by amazing powers that seem to kick in whenever he is in danger, Jimmy eventually discovers that he has been genetically engineered as an assassin to aid the tyrannical government and is only 38% human.
