Jeron Criswell

One of the funniest (completely unintentionally) books ever written. Criswell is the infamous narrator in Plan 9 from Outer Space, and was a popular psychic in the mid 1960s, with his own TV show and appearances on other national venues. Criswell Predicts is simply a collection of outlandish, outrageous predictions, leading up to the end of all life on Earth on August 18, 1999. (My personal favorite was the 'strange and loathesome cult' from Patoka, IN that would break into cryogenic facilities to eat the frozen bodies.) If you can find a cheap copy, it's worth buying just to read aloud to your friends.… (meer)
