Her book is better than I thought it would be. Part 1 quickly turns from moaning about how bad things are to talking about the "Happy Warrior." "Anger, however, can only take a cause so far. It's largely a destructive force." (Page 30) All right, I think I am going to like this book. ... As of page 214 the happy warrior is still missing, the book is still going on about the deliberate destruction of America.

"The greatest snake charmer that ever existed. Fidel Castro on Obama, 2010" (Page 32)
"Why can't I just eat my waffle? Barack Obama, in response to a foreign policy question... April 2008" (Page 32)

Barack Obama Sr. urged the "redistribution of income through higher taxes, even at a '100 percent' tax rate," (Page 38)

"He (Barack Obama) needs the economic situation to stay dire. He need spending to continue to spiral upward. He needs the debt to reach unprecedented levels. He needs unemployment to stay high. He needs the classes pitted against each other. He needs a growing pauper class to keep the class conflict going. He needs a wealthy class constantly under assault. He needs government-sector unions strong and growing. He needs union thugs on the march. He needs conflict between the public and private sectors. zHe needs a southern border out of control. He needs a wold thrown into disarray by retrenching American leadership." (Page 74)

Reverend Al Sharpton, "First of all, then we have to say the American public overwhelmingly voted for socialism when they elected President Obama," (Page 75)

"The great free market economist and Nobel Laureate in Economics Milton Friedman, among others, showed that the Keynesian multiplier was both incorrectly formulated and fundamentally flawed," (Page 82)

"In 1963, when Johnson began the new wave of government expansion, these types of [social program] payments made up 28 percent of the federal budget. Today they are 66 percent of it." (Page 84)

"Obama did not make a series of rookie mistakes when he demanded ever more spending. His objective has always been clear: to spend as much money as possible in order to 'remake America' by essentially bankrupting her, ... The staggering spending was designed not to help the economy but to rapidly expand the welfare state so that it would be extraordinarily difficult to ever roll it back." (Page 109)

Obama talks about failure of leadership is getting into so much debt. (Page 117)

"The health care engineers never lost sight of what ObamaCare was really all about: government power and control. (Page 127)

"The redistributionists are also keenly aware of the addictive power of entitlements. (Page 128)

"Here's a tip-off that ObamaCare was a wold-class socialist disaster of tyrannical proportions. On the day it became law, Obama received congratulations from Saudi king Abdullah, who funnels money to terrorists who use it to attack and infiltrate our country; United Nations secretary-general Ban Ki-moon, whose institution is so anti-American that it's trying to undermine us in some way every day; and Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, who ... endorse(d) ObamaCare. Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, North Korea's Kim Jong-un, Venezuela's Hugo Chavez, and Russia's Vladimir Putin! The tyrants of thw world love ObamaCare because it's the biggest single destroyer yet of American exceptionalism." (Page 137)

"As Senator James Inhofe put it, 'All of this killing of our energy supply is not by accident. It's on purpose.' " (Page 183)

"The irony is that the Left loves accusing the Right of wanting to take America backward. yet they spend so much of their time focused on crushing the industries that are responsible for our own Industrial Revolution." (Page 188)

"The United States had just been attacked by a barbaric and ruthless enemy, 2,977 people had been slaughtered in cold blood, and the nation was seized by grief. And Barack Hussein Obama took that moment to express compassion for the enemy, (September 2001) (Page 205) "In fact, Obama was so obsessed with 'healing' relations with the Muslim world that he enlisted an entire government agency to help carry it out. ... the National Aeronautics and Space Agency." (Page 315) "With apologies all around, the stage was set for the building of that new world order, in which America would relinquis world leadership..." (Page 216)

(Obama) assign blame to others and then position yourself as the one uniquely gifted to solve the grievance ..." (Page 207)

"These euphemisms for Islamic terror are dangerously counterproductive." (Page 220)

"Team Obama released far too much information about the mission and it's aftermath. No one should have know the name..." (Page 235)

"There is, after all, one that that all of Obama's responses to the Rab revolts have in common: he has supported the revolutions that will ultimately turn previously secular states into Islamist ones." (Page 262)

The Happy Warrior
The happy warrior is finally back on page 317 after many pages of recounting a long string of events where Obama betrayed our allies and helped those committed to destroying the United States. "The Happy Warrior believes in two essential truths; first, that America can be saved, and second, that it is worth saving." (Page 317)
Ten Essential Keys
1. The Happy Warrior is a warrior.
2. We must win these wars before they escalate into bigger cataclysms.
3. Any war requires pain and sacrifice.
4. In most cases we are at war with ourselves.
5. The Happy Warrior fights to hold the other side responsible for its actions.
6. The Happy Warrior is fully comfortable that the underpinning of freedom is, in fact, individual responsibility.
7. The Happy Warrior believes in the inherent goodness of man.
8. The Happy Warrior doesn't believe that America is (in a) zero sum game.
9. An effective Happy Warrior is a disciplined one.
10. And finally, the Happy Warrior is, in fact, happy.

I would have rated this book a 3 because of the crude language starting with the title, which caused me to hesitate about whether to read it, but because of the importance of the topic, and the detailing of so many atrocities, I rank it a 4. Not that I like atrocities, but an urgent need for change is well documented here. The final chapter "America Unleashed" was a big change from the earlier continual stream of bad news, to a chapter full of changes that need to be made to bring our country back to fiscal responsibility and greatness.

"As Thomas Jefferson put it in ... 1801, "[A] wise and frugal government ... shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government." (Page 333)
