In this page-turner, a college student wakes up in her dorm after a night of heavy drinking with no memory of the sexual assault that happened the night before. As she pulls herself back together, Claudia tries to figure out what to do. Plan B, yes, PrEP yes, police report, no. When her rapists release a sex tape of the assault, Claudia realizes that no matter what she claims, she will always be seen as responsible for her own rape. She knows she must not make the same mistake that other sexual assault survivors seem to make: rely on law enforcement for justice in a world where 'boys will be boys'. As a trust fund kid, Claudia has more resources available than most young people. She isolates herself and hides while she decides how to get justice for herself.… (meer)

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC of this book. What a great read! I was hooked when Claudia wakes up and finds a video of herself having sex with two men. She was drunk. She is rich. So are they. Claudia enlists the help of a fellow student at NYU to help her. I wanted to skip to the end so badly and I’m glad I didn’t. This should be read by mom and daughters everywhere. It would make a great read for a book group. If anyone is listening out there, snap up the rights and make it a movie!!!!!

This is a story about Claudia Castro, a once promising NYU student who appears to have it all, that is, until she realizes, frighteningly she can't remember anything about the previous night. A single look in the mirror confirms it wasn't good and she disappears to unravel the truth she just can't piece together.

This was a fairly fast paced read written from multiple points of view, allowing us to examine what was happening around her before and during the dreadful night. With a few twists here and there and lovely prose you'll find yourself not wanting to put it down.

Overall, I'd rate this book somewhere around 3.5 stars.

Thank you to netgalley, Julia Dahl, and publishers for providing me an e-copy for my honest review.
